Pistons

I ordered a set of custom Ross forged aluminum pistons for the Panther 374CID engine. Granted, the piston skirt is shorter (hence more slap) but they are lighter than stock, hence less stress on the rods & crank at higher RPM. Also, being forged, they are stronger than the stock cast pistons (shown on left):

Along with the reground Lazer camshaft, I ordered the upper valve train components. The stronger dual valve springs will help prevent "valve float" at higher RPM. The lifters are for Chrysler V-8:
